a work-y blog.

got good news today from the personnel lady at walmart!

after all these months of working third shift and about two months after requesting a change, she finally has me set up for a cashier job DURING THE DAY.

you do not know how amazing this is.

I WILL BE AWAKE IN THE SUNLIGHT.

I WILL SLEEP AT NIGHT.

LIKE A NORMAL PERSON.

I WILL CAPSLOCK UNTIL MY JOY SUBSIDES.

which is right now.

bad new, of course, always comes with good news.  the bad news is that she is still trying to replace me on third shift.  she's interviewed three people and none of them worked out.  hopefully she's not telling them they would be working apparel, because most people know that that area is HELL IN WALMART it always has too much freight and never enough people to run it.  there are two other people on third who threatened to quit after working apparel for awhile and we given new jobs and never asked to do it again.  that's how bad it it.  it's so bad that everyone knows how bad it is and will give you a new job if you threaten them.

i told shelley that this was fine, because at least i now have hope.  there is a light at the end of my row of apparel carts.

while this is not an actual picture of my light at the end of apparel, it is certainly joyful enough:

it's a box full of rubber ducks.  does it get happier than that?
peace.

bloggy face lift!

yes, it's true!  i decided i want to get some blogging done, and i was tired of looking at my old blog (even though it was still pretty cool and i was very proud of it!).  so here's a nice simple theme to hold me over until i mess with it some more.

how goes it in the life of tiffers, you ask?

or you don't ask but i imagine you do in my head?

first off:  50 POUNDS LOST IN ONE YEAR.  how about them apples (them tasty, tasty apples)!?

on our three year anniversary.  <3

it's amazing.  it's like a stopped carrying a travel safe or something.  i can't imagine picking it up again.  and i'm also down about 3 dress sizes.  it's great!  i love it!

on the down side, i'm sort of plateauing at the moment.  i'm stuck in the 243 - 240 range.  and i want to lose more before the wedding in october!  my treadmill has about had it, but i'm trying to convince chris to take walks with me outside since kentucky finally gifted us with spring weather (after trying to level us with tornadoes).

in other tiffers news:  guess who has two thumbs and is developing anxiety issues just like everybody else on both sides of her family?  this lady!

i went to the urgent care clinic because i kept having these random chest pains and my heart kept beating fast for seeming no reason.  got hooked up for an EKG and was having tiny palpitations, which the doctor who treated me told me he might be concerned about if i was 65, but not at 25.  so then she asked 'what's going on your life?  any stress?'

let's see:

failing several classes.
almost getting kicked out of school.
working overnights and not getting any sleep.
having a day off and sleeping all day because i haven't slept in 4 days.
bosses are bitches with super high expectations for one normal individual.
planning a wedding.
paying for a wedding.
no money no money no money.
keeping my grades up.
not going off on a member of management who wants 12 hours worth of work done in 8.
trying not to be a fatty.

no.  i don't see any stress here.

i left with 20 anxiety pills.

i haven't taken any.  which she told me a lot of her patients rarely take them, with mild anxiety just knowing you have them can be enough to keep the anxiety at bay.  so i keep them in my purse just in case i need them.

i make chris laugh, though,  i was reading the little pamphlet about all the side effects and told him i was scared to take them.

chris:  it's an ANXIETY PILL.  you're too scared to take it.  take one and you'll feel better, that's what it's for!

so yes, anxious tiffers waits anxiously instead of taking her anxiety medication.

but it's all good.  i haven't had any problems since.

that's the current life of tiffers.

have a picture of my wedding dress, i should be ordering it in the next few days.

peace.

i can't wait to walk down the aisle in this!  <3

hello again bloggy.

i want to be a blogger again.

since the last time i blogged at you, i haven't gotten much done on the 'changing schools' front.

as i looked more deeply into my school finances, it looks like i'd have to pay this school some amount of money before they will release my transcripts to other schools.  probably because i've been doing so poorly lately.  i did pass my last class though!  barely, but i made it!

my next class is finally getting back into art and illustration.  i hope that this upcoming class will revive my artistic side because i miss it.  i miss doodling in the margins of papers.  i miss painting just to paint.  i miss drawing and erasing and drawing again until it turns into something i'm happy with.  i still love crafting and such, but it's not the same.  i dunno, random depressed artist paragraph, i suppose.

in other news, according to my phone, i am getting married in about 8 months.  hooray!  what do i have for this wedding.  NOTHING.  nothing at all.  not even a list.  i've picked out my dress, but i'm not ordering it yet.  and that's about it.  this is getting hard.  i've tried three times to just figure out who's going to show up for this thing, but everyone falls into three categories:

1.  people who will show up;
2.  family who you have to invite as a courtesy, but that probably won't come.
3.  friends and family that say they are coming, but you just have a nagging feeling that they won't.

this makes things very difficult, especially when it comes to planning you know, how to feed them and seat them and such.  sigh.  luckily i have a lot of people who want to help, so i guess i just need to put them to work!

i cannot wait for my wedding.  i picture it everyday.  i imagine my dad walking me down the aisle and a nice little intimate group of people and music and laughing and i know it's going to be amazing no matter if some people are standing up or if we all only get a bite of cake.

peace.

stormy but not blog.

the weather people have been trying to tell me all day that we're all gonna get hit with tornadoes.

okay.  maybe not.  i'm  not blaming weather people.  they were right, totally got hit by the giant line of storms, they just weren't nearly as powerful by the time they got to us.  so we abandoned ship for nothing.  but let me tell you about it anyway.

i 'like' wave 3 weather on facebook, so they tell me weather things all day.  and you can tell something is going on when there are like, 15 posts in a row.  they were thunderstorm watches and warnings, tornado watches and warnings, flash flood, blah blah blah, you name a weather disaster and a city in kentucky and it was there.  so i was on the phone with mandy, we were all like, watching the maps and the radar.  chris's mom wanted us to come there (a brick house will fair better in a tornado than a mobile home every time), and phil was like 'whatever, nothing's gonna happen'.  (and he was right and he's probably mad right now that he went to his parents house.)

the storms were moving pretty slow, so we decided to wait a bit before we left.  i had my purse and my dr. who containment unit (aka a laundry basket and a comforter) ready on the couch.  and yes, i told chris i was not leaving without the cat, and i stuck to my word and chased the cat down and put him in the basket before we left.

we weren't in a hurry, nothing was happening at the time.  but i did manage to fall down the porch steps and land on my knees on the concrete while snuggling a kitty basket.  basically, i have little to no depth perception at night, and when i look down the porch steps they look like a flat slab of concrete, so chris has to wait at the bottom of the stairs for me.  he waited and he tried to help, but i couldn't see the steps and couldn't see past the kitty basket, so i guess i must have just skipped the last step.  i landed on my knees and my tippy toes (which felt like i'd snapped them backwards) and i guess the sheer upward force of my landing made my back really hurt for a minute.  it's still a little sore.  chris was apologizing the whole time, i kept telling him to stop because there was nothing he could have done about it.  but he always feels bad when i hurt myself.

so we hung out at chris's parents house.  the doctor was freaking out because this is the home of two poodles and one was less than thrilled to see him, so he spent his time hiding behind the toilet in the bathroom.  he was finally feeling like exploring right before we left, but alas, was too late for him.

sigh.  i'm so tired of all these storms, people!  for realsies.  because we took shelter this time and nothing happened, but the one time we don't do it we'll probably be blown away.  it's just so much hassle, plus i'm mad that i fell down the steps.  my knees hurt, my toes hurt, my back is all sore and then this tornado had THE NERVE to NOT SHOW UP.  fuck you, tornado.  you could have at least made an appearance after all that.

watch, i mocked the tornado and sirens are gonna go off or something.

maybe not.

anyway, i'm tired and hurty all over, probably not gonna be able to treadmill tomorrow (AGAIN, my back was already being all sore and wonky earlier today).  so blah.

peace.

two am blog.

it's two am, as the title suggests.

i got so much of nothing done today because i forgot that history classes require 40 pages of reading from something really boring. . .taking history of art of early civilizations.  doesn't that sound neat?

no.  it sounds like cleaning and homework ate up my day so i'm trying to catch up now.  chris has to be to work at 8 am, so he's already asleep.  i decided while he was asleep and i was still all awake i'd do the things i didn't get to do earlier.

i polished my toes.  they look awful, so i have to redo them tomorrow.

i worked on finishing bug's moko kitty for her birthday on sunday.  the leg i got halfway done crocheting is way too small and i don't know why.  so i'll have to redo it tomorrow.

all of these things would be easier to redo if the doctor didn't decide to shove his claw underneath my nail sideways.  it's still thumping and it has a big pink hello kitty band-aid on it.  it's also my bird flipping finger, and when chris came through the door i was yelling at the doctor.  he was running from me, but i found him in the kitchen and yelled 'you better run you little fucker!' all while waving around my bloody bird flipping finger.

i'm sure you can imagine chris lol-ing it up.

later i found the doctor and apologized for calling him a little fucker and for smacking him in the head while trying to dislodge his claw from my finger.

the point is crocheting and polishing and doing anything with my dominant hand (even typing this blog) makes my finger thump.  it's just a kitty wound, so hopefully it will feel better tomorrow.

sigh.

so that's been my day.

peace.

tornadoes and keys blog.

apparently kentucky got hit by like, a million tornadoes last night.  or maybe like four, but four tornadoes may as well be a million.

until mandy texted me at about midnight, i didn't know i should be concerned about anything.  i even looked out the window to see if anything was happening.  mandy told me to watch the weather, and i was like 'uh, no cable!'.  so i had to friend WAVE 3 on facebook to keep me informed.  and reading everybody's posts about trees falling down and power going off in their areas just made me even more paranoid.

i went to the WAVE 3 site and found out shelby county was under a tornado watch, and it stayed that way for a while.  then later i saw on facebook that it had been upgraded to a warning and at that exact second the sirens go off.  chris and i had been going back and forth on whether or not we should go somewhere, but with the siren we were out of there.  i put my shoes and hoodie on, grabbed the doctor and put him in a laundry basket (he was pissed, as you can imagine) and was practically waiting at the door and like a minute.

chris, on the other hand, was looking for his keys.

he finally found his keys locked in the truck.

again.

i love my dude more than anything in the world, but damn is he good at locking those keys in!  especially when it's really important to have them!  like during snow storms, tornadoes and when i'm late for work.

so we didn't get to go to chris's parents nice safe brick house and i pissed off  my kitty for no reason.  by this time we'd woken phil up to get his opinion on the matter (he was like 'tornadoes, whatevs.')  chris's parents offered to come get us, but by the time they got to us the warning would be over and they'd have to try to shelter with us, so we decline.  i gathered up the doctor again and chris and i headed to the big walk in closed where we hid for about 20 minutes.  at about three minutes til the warning was to expire phil came in the room to make fun of us for hiding in the closet.  at about one minute the doctor escaped the closet and hid under the bed.  i hoped the tornado didn't try to strike while my kitty was out of my hands!

no tornado ever came, at least not to my house.

so that's adventure one.

adventure two started this afternoon when i was all dressed and ready to go out.  then we remember the keys are locked in the truck.  i'm getting really sleepy and tired of typing, so long story short, chris and his dad broke out the back window of the truck to get the door unlocked.

yeah.  so we have a temporary trash bag window, but phil is going to use his awesome lowe's powers to bring us a piece of plexi glass for it tomorrow.

so yeah.

peace.

a stormy blog!

spent a few days at my parents house this weekend for my granny's birthday party!  party went off without a hitch, family parties are always the best!  i did have to spend the previous day deep in crochet land trying to finish the shawl i wanted to give her for her birthday.  i did finish it, though at some point during the process bug decided she was a kitty and was going to play with my yarn ball with her ravioli hands. . .it left a little stain, but luckily most of it made it into a stitch, so you don't even notice it if you don't know where it is.

i also got my hair did, which is always fun.

look at this hair bein' all did.

in other news, i'm currently taking a speech class, and i have to do all my speeches via webcam.  which totally blows and i look awful on webcam.  D:  it makes things a little easier since i'm terrified of public speaking (at least on webcam i can't see people looking at me), but it also makes it a little harder since i have the option of doing it several times until it's perfect and will keep doing it until it is.  i did a tiny two minute speech about 6 times yesterday because i couldn't stop myself from 'um'-ing all the time.  the one i finally settled on still had one in it.  but i just can't not do it. . .

here's my 'that's awful' outtake.  enjoy.

now, to get to the part of the blog where i actually tell you about the storm instead of just making it the title and then forgetting about it.

i woke up yesterday to an awesome day.  it was cloudy, but it felt so nice outside, it was great.  so i put on my cute 'it's so nice outside!' skirt and some flip flops and i am ready to go.  chris and i were planning on stopping by the big flea market on the way home and i was totally excited.

inside, however, the weather channel is telling us it's going to be just awful everywhere and shouldn't have made plans at all.  but we were not deterred.

i went and changed from my cute skirt into some jeans and tennis shoes so my feet wouldn't get all wet in the horrible storm that was supposed to hit us.  another channel tells us there is a severe thunderstorm warning for us and bullit county (which we would be heading towards), for the next half hour or so, so we decided to wait it out.  of course, nothing happened.

nothing happened because it waited for us to get on the interstate to start throwing water on us.  screw you, weather.  it was pretty rough going for a bit, not even really because of all the rain but because of the mist getting thrown off all the other cars and chris' windshield wipers kinda blowing.

we finally do make it to the exit for the flea market and decide we'll go ahead and park and wait it out.

and of course, we park and there's nothing.  not a drop of rain falling from the sky.  just massive puddles we have to make our way around.  sigh.

so flea market fun was had.  on the way out, the sun decided to shine on us again, turning the parking area into a hot, muddy sauna.  my jeans were sticking to me and i was totally miserable.  chris told me to go get my skirt and flip flops and i could change in the flea market bathrooms, but i didn't really want to change there.  and i could have changed when we got to our next destination, but the truck was so hot and i was about to be covered in all the stuff we had with us, just to make it worse.

so being the clever girl that i am (and lucky enough to be in a pretty empty parking lot), i put my skirt on over my jeans while standing outside of the truck, took them off, got my socks and tennis shoes off and then did my best to get my flip flops on without my feet getting in the mud (they still did).  cuz i am hardcore like that and i don't deal well with humidity.

so there you go.  chris was cheering me on just because he wanted to watch.  silly boys.

peace.

a walking blog.

today was a running around day.

the kroger up the street from us is closing (only to reopen as a new kroger RIGHT NEXT DOOR), so all sorts of perishable food-ness was on sale.  we got a lot of good stuff, was pretty excited.  decided to whip up an awesome chicken parmesan, cuz i'm cool like that.

but one of the things we actually needed to get today was a mop.  mops at kroger are obscenely expensive.  i refuse to pay eight dollars for something i'm gonna rub around on my dirty kitchen floor.

since i've been trying to get my 30 minutes of exercise a day in, i decided instead of walking on the boring treadmill that i'd go out into the beautiful sunshine-y day and walk to the dollar store to pick up a cheaper mop.  and it was amazing.  the walk was great, it was the same feeling and resistance of the hills was my incline.  it took almost fifteen minutes to get there, fifteen back.  that made my thirty.  i rewarded my awesomeness at the dollar store with some socks that matched (i was wearing visibly mismatched socks, it made me sad because my shoes were really cute and my socks were ruining it) and a diet mountain dew supernova (which is delicious, btw).

so i'm walking back and mandy calls.  i talk to her for the rest of the way to the house, i was only about five minutes away.  get to the door, sit the phone down, put the key in the lock, turn the knob. . .

it doesn't open.

maybe i have the wrong key.  i put in the other key, turn the knob. . .nothing.

i do this several times, and the key that should be the right key is behaving the same way the wrong key (the key to my parents house) worked.  meaning that it didn't work at all and that turning it just made the lock mock me.

i look at the house.  i know i may have really bad eyesight, but i am one hundred percent sure that this is* my house*, so i don't understand why the key to my house is not opening the door to my house.

i call chris.  chris calls his dad.  chris's dad picks up his key from him at walmart and brings it to me so i can get inside.

i wait outside about 20 or more minutes.  just me, my mop, my diet mountain dew supernova and a very angry damien (phil's cat) who really wanted inside and couldn't understand why i wasn't letting him in.

i can only assume that my key is just defective and i'm going to have to get a new one.  but i will be sure to test the new one before wandering around in the real world.

sigh.

it was very sad, to say the least.  but at least i was greeted by my doctor, who was also probably wondering why he could hear my outside being pissed but wasn't coming in.

sigh again.

anyway, after all that i made an awesome chicken parmesan for dinner.  penne, sauce, mozzerella cheese and frozen giant chicken things.  4 servings, 11 pts.  i'm getting good at this 'making food' thing.

a picture of me matching my blog!  i'm so cool and not still
pissed off at my key.
peace.

pre-thanksgiving bloggity.

i know it must be coming, since there is a rock-hard turkey taking up a great deal of counter space as it tries it's best to thaw out before thursday. i guess i'm pretty stoked about thanksgiving this year, for two reasons:

1. last day at at papa johns! (to be explained later in this blog)

and

2. not a giant ball of pain this year! yays!

so yeah, i got a new job. gonna work holiday time at spencer's in towne mall. i was told i'd be able to stay on as a regular part-timer after january, so it's pretty sweet. my goal though is to find another part-time job in the mall and just hang out there all day. i think it'd work out pretty well as long as i could coordinate my days off at both places so that they'd be the same day. that way i could have my dude time. cuz i totally heart my dude time. :D

(blog interrupted by work time!)

now back. oh, how i will absolutely NOT miss taking those phone orders. i will never long for the day of somebody asking about our specials, even though they've been listening to a recording of our specials for the past five minutes. i will not miss the really nice old ladies, who are really really nice, but obviously have a hearing problem because they can't keep from yelling at me. and i certainly will not miss every single caller telling me about how they'd like to order some pizza. IS PIZZA WHAT YOU REALLY WANT?? ARE YOU SURE? YOU DID CALL A PIZZA PLACE AFTER ALL.

every time somebody says that i want to respond with, 'no. no pizza for you.'

gosh i had so much planned for this blog before i had to go to work.

now all i can think about is pizza and phones. damn you, papa johns.

oh well. maybe more bloggy later.

peace.

oh blogger.

i was actually shopping around for a different blog service, blogger. because whenever i try to put picture on you, you just piss me off and make me bang on my keyboard in anger. and i can't keep doing that blogger, my 'q' is already just a tiny little button, i can't afford to lose any more keys.

but everyone else seem to make you work and they don't appear to be filled with horrible rage, so i'm giving you another chance.

anyway, a bunch of stuff has probably happened since the last time i blogged. halloween being the biggest, but if you follow me on facebook you've seen all my halloween madness. but just because it makes me giggle still, he is my favorites dudes halloween costume:

yes, i know you are jealous of my gorgeous hunk of man in the underwear. but he it mine. you back off. :3

also, i did a million halloween looks just for fun. i actually wish i had done more. i still have a wig i didn't even get to use! but it also needs to be cut, my wig is in an ugly shape that is not all like the picture on the package. i need to get it trimmed up. i got it for an awesome cheshire cat tutorial and then never got around to doing it. D:

so yeah. that's about it.

i have an interview at spencer's tomorrow. i'm so excited. i can dress cute and stock all the adult toys and giggle madly to myself if i get this job. it would be so cool. :D

speaking of adult toys, i have nothing against them but some of them do look REALLY PAINFUL and not fun at all. seriously. go to spencer's and look. some of them will make you hurt inside just by looking at them.

oh well. to each there own and whatnot.

anyway, i hope to be posting some artsy and craftsy stuff on here real soon. i'm in the process of making a really sooper long and cozy black and white scarf like knives wears at the chaos theater in my new favorite movie scott pilgrim vs. the world.

just like this. only mine is all a crocheted and much wider, since i'm not a tiny chinese girl and a scarf that skinny would look like i'd wrapped thread around my neck. also, i love her hair. i want hair like knives chau.

i've also made two hats just for fun. well, one is just for fun, i made it my size but am never going to wear it, then i made a small bug sized one to put in her christmas stocking. if i can get some more yarn and some time before then i want to make her a little scarf, too. but we'll see on that one.

but i guess that's all from my random life right now bloggy. except for that dream i had when my hand was broken and i was trying to call my dad while chris took me to the hospital. but other than that it wasn't that interesting of a dream. so yeah.

peace.

late birthday blog!

i know i'm six whole days late telling you guys about my awesome birthday. i apologize.

BUT IT WAS AWESOME.

i wanted to take some pics of the presents i got, but my old camera needs some new batteries. sad. D:

so, my birthday started a little before midnight last thursday, when my dude arrived carrying not one, but TWO awesome cakes for me! i had to wait until after midnight to look at them, but here's a little peek at them:

it's my armadillo cake! i have wanted an armadillo cake since the very first time i saw it in the movie 'steel magnolias' (which is a movie i HATE, but i love the cake), i've asked for it years! i can't believe chris actually produced one! that why i love my dude!

but this. i am totally in freakin' love with. i love my dude so much!!!

and just so you know, we're not just piggies. chris is actually not a fan of the cream cheese icing that covers the armadillo, so he brought a smaller regular whipped icing cake. good thing too, turns out mom and dad preferred it to the armadillo as well. he was a little on the sweet and sugary side, but that's why he was delicious!

as far as presents, i got a bunch! i'm gonna try to gather them together and get a nice pic of my birthday haul.

so, spent my actual birthday with my dude. we did a little shopping (finally found the giraffe silly band of my dreams at hot topic!!), picked up my paycheck and got a bunch of work 'happy birthday's', came back home to have some cake with the family, mainly the buglette, before everyone started heading to bed. had the greatest dinner at rafferety's, made our waitress laugh when i told chris that hopefully neither one of us would have a heart attack after demolishing a plate of cheese fries (so good though!). chris was even nice enough to ask me if i wanted to be embarrassed to get free desert. i declined, seeing as we had two cakes sitting at home. :3

needless to say, my chris treated me like a queen all day! it was awesome!

saturday, everybody had to work. sad panda. D:

sunday was spent as an awesome family dinner day, got some delicious potato soup. i even had a giant spoonful of bacon in mine, like even the soup was sayin' happy birthday!

well, don't know what else to blog, other than that i had an amazing birthday with my family and my favorite dude in the world!

peace!

oh blog.

i'm actually pretty sure i've had some awesome times since the last time i blogged, but i can't remember! i really need to blog these things while they're fresh in my memory.

me and my face are having an awful time lately though. first of all, i have these nice areas of melasma on the sides of my face. it looks like i have a funky tan line, but it's actually a build-up of melanin caused by the extra hormones that i'm making because of my birth control plus sun exposure. so after the first time in a really long time that i decided being outside in the summer was a good idea i have to lock myself back up in my room. D:

also, i decided that i should try to remember to wash my face before i go to bed. wake up the next morning with a horrible rash that i can only assume came from my twenty dpllar neutrogena set. D:

spend all of yesterday rearranging my room so that i could have an awesome poofy armchair only too find out that this awesome poofy armchair is WAY TO BIG for my room. had to sacrifice a small bookshelf and a set of storage drawers. the drawers, however, still have a lot of stuff in them that i need, so i have to find a way to get them back in. in better news, this chair is a much more comfortable place to laptop from. it makes writing long boring essays more comfortable (but sadly not any more fun).

speaking of boring essays, history and analysis of design is just as boring as it sounds. but then again i find no joy in any course that has the work history in the title. i understand that you should know the history of something you want to do as a career, but OMG is it boring. luckily now that i have my info, this essay will be pretty easy, but still not any fun.

after finishing this essay i have about a billion picture frames i have to get back up somewhere on the wall. don't know quite where yet, but dammit they are getting off my floor.

peace.

just bloggin'.

oh blog, kinda missin' the noise and chaos that family brings. had to say bye this morning after only about 3 hours of sleep. D:

spent most of the night awake, then at walmart, then hair coloring, then awake and then finally asleep at about 6 am. up at about 9:30 to wish everybody a safe trip and to make sure they didn't forget bubba. back to sleep until about 11-ish when my dude called me on his break (cuz he loves me :B), back to sleep, up at about 1:30 pm, in time to put *new* color on my hair and talk to my dude for a few mins again at about 2. then work. then nap. then macaroni. then blah.

wasn't that an interesting day!? i know you think it was.

i'm so excited because i got the weekend off! spending friday getting my new comforter stuffs for my room (i'm oddly really excited about that) and then off to buffalo wild wings for transformers/comic book trivia with my dude! it's a nerd date! i'm so excited! eeeee! then saturday off with chris to watch him judge a tournament, kinda like a nerd date except for the part where i fall asleep, which is what usually happens. :P

still gotta get through work tomorrow, but since my dude is pickin' me up it shouldn't be so bad. i can't wait to hear about all his bakery adventures and snuggle him for being all good and goin' to work. :B eeeeee, just in such a good mood now! i know such awesomeness is coming up!

also, burn updates: everybody is totally fine. just a little ouchy. nobody smells like smoke anymore and everything is healing up nicely. we'll probably never see real fireworks ever again though. or at least not until bug is 18. according to my aunt deb, anyway.

well that's really all i got to blog. just felt like updating.

peace.

more blogs!

still workin' on blog stuff for people! still having fun, though it frustrates me when i'm trying to do something and can't get it to work. sigh. added sara's blog to my to-do list, so i should have something to occupy me until class starts again. :B

missed a trip to waverly hills. sad face. i geek out over that place, i know like everything about it and i love to walk around that building. there was an open spot for me too, but got off work about 20 minutes too late. i cry. D: still got to listen to the stories anyway, and mandy even got poked by a ghost! oh noes! ghost poke!

all this mountain dew is making my teeth hurt. that probably means i should go to the dentist. but dentists want money to look at your teeth, they don't just do it because of their love of teeth. so also sad face.

i'm only blogging because i'm bored. was gonna try to wait up for my dude to call back, but he was calling from cincinatti from a super cool con that i didn't get to go to, so who knows when that will be. oh wells. he'll just have to expect fjka;ljfkda; when he calls me back. :P

peace.

long day.

not to much to report. currently stuck in my bedroom with a bad dog that is whining to get out. if i leave he tries to escape. if i manage to make it out i have to practically kick him in his head to get back in because he's smart enough to stand behind the door.

i don't know what was up with work today. we didn't seem super busy for a friday (fridays make people crave pizza, i don't know why), but man was everything going wrong. i actually got two orders in wrong today, had them for carryout instead of delivery. i caught one and changed it and got it out, the person didn't even notice. the second one sat there for a few hours before they called back all like 'hey, i ordered pizza like two hours ago'. oh well. it happens. it only bothers me when people are bitchy about it like they've never made a mistake in their lives. but they were super cool about it, in an 'it happens' kinda way. or else one of them has worked in fast food before.

but just got to survive the rest of the weekend then off for two days! yay! i'm gonna do so much crocheting. i'll finish this blanket by the time i'm 30. i guarantee it. i need to take a picture of my blanket so everyone can see it's purple/teal-y awesomeness. i forget to crochet on this blanket for months at a time though, that's why i'm predicting 30 as it's finishing point.

i'm also itching to paint for no apparent reason. i have a board in my room that i painted in cool stripes about this time last year, but could never think of a design to put on it. i have one now, but it's a secret. :P

sad cuz my dude's going to a convention without me tomorrow. i wanted to go real bad, and my dude wanted me to go real bad but i've just been asking for so many days off with my family in town that i felt bad for trying to get that day, too. and i'm totally broke anyway. i need to start saving for gen con in august. i'm hoping i can at least get my badge out of my next paycheck, but we'll see. last year when i went i had zero spending money and still had a great time, so if i can save just a little bit maybe this year i can upgrade to super great. :D

since this blog was boring, i'll leave you this picture of some mints i saw at ear x-tacy.

also look at my awesome orange nail polish. you know you love it.
